Mattresses sold in Canada must adhere to the Mattresses Regulations (SOR/2016-183) under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. These regulations mandate that mattresses meet specific flammability standards, particularly resistance to ignition from cigarettes. Compliance is determined through testing as per the Canadian General Standards Board standard CAN/CGSB-4.2 No. 27.7-2013.
